i went Universal Studio on its official opening day!
5 free tickets and there goes my Thursday with my dear family(:
i think we reached there about 9am???
and now let's tour USS around with me here(:
the place is quite small, so you can easily complete your tour within 3hours.
and i love the Madagascar! its very cute and i like the atmosphere!
but the place is only for photography, as for the games its only "Coming Soon!"
and the whole place look almost alike as the very famous Madagascar movie^^
and very soon we reach Shrek's house.
and the Shrek's 4D max takes place in the palace!
and this the interior of the Shrek's 4D max.
Overall i think its quite lame and there's room for improvement.
and Next Up its the LOST WORLD for some water splashing fun!
and its only my Dad and I in our poncho.
and thats the "battle ship" we'll be riding on.and then we will be sliding down from that building. Think its only like 2-3 storey high?
as compared to Japan's Lost World... about 9 storey high and that is what we call SHIOK!
It's very giddy as the whole journey is spinning round and round. 2 star for the environment (not bad), but it will not score for the excitement.
and then is the Canopy Flyer for you to enjoy a prehistoric bird's-eye view of Jurassic Park.
The overall ride is short but exciting. You can have a feel of whats the Cylon (Blue Track) before trying it with this.
The Ancient Egypt is nice and the whole area is creepy whereby you don't know when a Mummy will pops out and scare you.
I love the ride! Especially the walk inside this enormous building. I shall not talk more about this cause you should experience the journey yourself! But don't get lost!! HAHAHA. Those who love Panasonic @ Escape theme park will heart this more!
At the Sci-Fi City, you will find the very famous Battlestar Galactica CYLON(blue) and HUMAN(red).
yeah! i challenged the Blue and the Red ride TWICE(:
The RED track (HUMAN)
Zooming at speeds of 90km/h, this seated coaster narrowly aviods collisions as it twists, turns and propels you over 14 storeys into the air!
The BLUE track (CYLON)
This suspended coaster goes up, around and upside down with intense corkscrews and cobra roll.
we were DRENCHED as it suddenly rain when we are on the go. Good experience dashing in the rain.
Congrats to the Battlestar Galactica Dual ride for getting 5star! A little advice from me, take the Blue ride first before taking the Red one because the Red one is more exciting than the Blue one. Maybe its because i took the Red one first and my Blue one wasn't as good as the Red one. No matter what, the Red one will definitely win the Blue one (for me lah..).
and after several spin and upside down ride, we were all tired/giddy/hungry.
we had lunch at Loui's NY Pizza Parlor and the pizza is really HUGE!
and then some photo taking around the area name New York!
yeah! my red umbrella look so nice here.
take a board walk to the Water World!
my experience with the Water World isn't good as they delayed too long and there's some technical problem half way through the show. And it stops abruptly. Maybe it will rate better if there's nothing wrong with the show.
as Lao Tian Ye keep raining, we got no choice but to take this ride and waste time.
but its very cute lar! My da jie enjoys it. HAHAHA!
and its still raining Heavily, we got no choice but go for the show at Pantages Hollywood Theater!
it was the Monster Rock showing that day and it was GREAT!!
i thought it was ALMO/COOKIE MONSTER type of monster but i was wrong!! It's really good, don't miss it!!
and then we head for the Donkey LIVE!
it's rather Lame, only suitable for children under 12 years old i guess. But kudos for the effects and enthusiasm.
one last attraction is the Lights, Camera, Action! Hosted by Steven Spielberg.
its really good and we were stunt by the effects. Don't mind queueing for this too.
and that's the end of our our in Universal Studios Singapore!
we did not try every single ride e.g. Enchanted Airways (like dragon coaster), Acceleration (see only giddy), Treasure Hunters (a ride in a desert jeep around Ancient Egypt)...
I hope that everyone has a better idea of what Universal Studio is about. Let's pack your bag with water bottle and umbrella/poncho for your exciting trip ahead!
