molestation - the act of subjecting someone to unwanted or improper

It’s just a normal Friday morning, and was taking my usual
path to work. Then suddenly I saw someone acting really weird coming from the
side. I fasten my pace, but still got caught by the guy. He pulled out his hand
and tried to grab my vagina area. I quickly react to his action and used my right
hand to block. I was quick enough therefore he only grabbed my hand, and
refused to let go. I pushed him away and he sort of scratched me because he was
grabbing so hard. He walked away immediately and said “Sorry, sorry” in a hurry
tone.
I wasn’t shock, and my brain not yet booted at that point of
time. I was standing there, I did not seek for help, I did not shout. I was looking
(examining to be exact) at my hand. F, there’s a lot of blood coming out.
Quickly, I wash my hand and the first thing that comes into my mind was “what
if he’s with any disease and I’m scratched by him?! Oh no, fml.”. I went to
report the police around 2pm (whereby the incident happened at 8.50am), and got
questioned by the police saying why I did not make a police report immediately.
I did, I went to the neighbourhood police station just behind my office
building at 9am and got to know it only operates from 12pm to 10pm daily. (Zzzz)
The police said, “You should have called 999 instead!” Ok, I admit it did not come
into my mind as I wasn’t sexually abused or injured during the incident.
Had been giving my testimonial since 2pm and only got to
walked out of the police station at 6+ pm. And the result was, there’s nothing
the police can do as I could not recognize the face of the molester. And there
is no enough evidence that he got the intention to molest me. It’s like as
though I enjoy making a false report and waste 4hrs there keep repeating my
story. I’m F*king busy can!! Grr.
As a whole, I feel that I’m actually quite calm and vigilant in
tackling the whole incident, just that I failed to recognize the face or I did
not scream for help. Girls, self-protection
is very important because we are often deeming as fragile and soft. That’s why
when I Google “Molestation”, it brackets “especially women or children”.
SEE!!!!
There are many types of
molestation. From Wikipedia’s page on molestation, below is a list of actions
considered sexual abuse (not limited to this):
- Non-consensual, forced physical sexual behavior (rape and sexual assault).
- Unwanted touching, either of a child or an adult.
- Sexual kissing, fondling, exposure of genitalia, and voyeurism, exhibitionism and up to sexual assault.
- Exposing a child to pornography.
- Saying sexually suggestive statements toward a child (child molestation).
- Also applies to non-consensual verbal sexual demands toward an adult.
- The use of a position of trust to compel otherwise unwanted sexual activity without physical force (or can lead to attempted rape or sexual assault).
- Incest (see also sexual deviancy).
- Certain forms of sexual harassment.
Has any happened to you before? You may
be molested yet not knowing it. Come to think of it, this was my 2nd
time reporting on molestation.
The first time had happened loooooong
ago when I’m only Primary 5/6. I was walking home one day after school and this
guy who crossed the road, all dressed as a casual policemen, wearing a police
cap and sunglass, asking me for help in neighbourhood gangster act among
teenager like me. Being the very helpful kind of person (KPO to be exact), I agreed
to aid in the investigation. He brought me to a HDB block nearby, and climbed
up the stairs. He asked me to lift up my skirt, but I can’t remember what
excused he gave. I did, as I was wearing a P.E shorts underneath.
Afterwards, he took out his penis and
asked me to squeeze his nipple to test for don’t know what (sorry I can’t
remember the excuse either). I feel uncomfortable. He was all sweaty, and I don’t
know what’s that sticking out from his pants. He was touching it. I said “I saw
my classmate downstairs while we were coming up, maybe I can get him to come
help you instead.” He said not to trouble him, but I insisted as that classmate
of mine stayed in this area. I keep insisting until a postman came down from
the stairs and saw us, he (the fake police) ran away.
Calmly, I continued my journey home. I washed myself
immediately and that puzzles my mum. I told her what happened and she rang my
dad immediately saying “your child is being molested!!” And then I start to
feel a bit uneasy, what happened?????
I remember spending the whole day at police station giving my
testimony as well as some drawings to tell the policemen exactly what he (the
molester) wants me to do. And then I was brought to another room to patch a
rough idea of the molester’s face etc. I am not the only victim, or perhaps I’m
luckier than the rest of the victims as I wasn’t hurt or injured. In a week or
so, the molester was caught and was certain to be punished by the law.
Child Molestation is the WORST behaviour/act of all. Molesters/perverts
who targets children should be executed! And the worst part is, a child doesn’t
know what’s going on and often am afraid to speak up. I had read from the
newspaper regarding child molestation that most of the children only speak out
after constant act of the abuser. They were often being threatened and
therefore do not dare to voice out. I seriously feel children molestation
should be educated, which I think Cliff 2 (channel 8 tv drama) had pinpointed
on this.
Being a victim myself, I know how important it is to learn
and protect ourselves. Constant remind yourself not to leave with strangers
(even he/she said your father has been hospitalized etc..” Call your dad or mum
or sis immediately to double confirm. If the stranger insists, quickly shout or
grab anyone nearby and seek for help. Always remember, it is illegal for a
policeman to bring you to an isolated area for investigation. It should be done
in the public or the police station. Be alert with the surrounding and don’t
use your phone when you are walking!! You won’t know what will happen to you
next!!
And up to date, I had also reported on 3 Flasher case:
- Overhead bridge between Blk 201 and Blk 301, Tampines st 21
- Overhead bridge opposite Republic Polytechnic
- Overhead bridge outside UBI driving centre (beware of banglahs at night!)
Molestation took place at:
- 115A Commonwealth Drive
- 20 Tampines st 11 (Outside Holy Trinity Church)
And if you suay suay kena molested after reading this post,
PLEASE try your very best to take a glance of the molester!! It’s very
important to be able to recognize the molester’s face!! Might it be a mole, a
scar, the type of specs he wear, any characteristics that is related to the
molesters!! Don’t panic and start screaming without noticing all this. So
please please please, be alert.
P/s incase you are wondering what I was wearing on the day I almost
kena molested, I was wearing a long sleeve shirt and a long pants.

Wah I think you damn unlucky. Actually you can go learn some self defense skills to help prevent. You know sometimes how unhelpful some passerbys are or maybe at some time you are really at some ulu place with very low human traffic. It would be best to know some self defense skills like how to unlock yourself from his arms etc! Next time just kick those asses groin. They deserve it!
seriously i'll wack the guy till his parents can't recognize him ZZZZ
