Pulau Ubin: Celestial Resort

Posted by Peien at 3:56 PM
My bff Samantha whatsapp me one day, saying she's very bored and randomly visit my blog and says she missed my blog.

I'm like, YOU'RE STILL READING IT?! Awwww... ♥♥♥ Not going to disappoint my ONLY loyal reader, i'm doing up a new blog post.

I posted this pic on instagram and get people to guessed where im going. Was laughing away when my bff Zoe Raymond guessed Sentosa. Sadly, it's Pulau Ubin :( I'm so ready for Sentosa though, im like over-dressed for Ubin trip haha!

We stayed at Celestial Resort Bay Suite. It's approx SGD200 for 1 night. Bay suite is located by the sea, and double storey.

And cause it's our first time there, we actually booked the boat to ferry us to Celestial Resort Jetty which cost SGD100+ for 6pax. It will only cost $2.50 per pax by normal ferry to the Public Jetty of Pulau Ubin.

 Bye bye singapore island.

Mummy so cute!

Here we are at Celestial Resort after a 10mins bumpy boat ride.

Welcomed by these cute puppies!

 Recreation area.

 Thomas and I.

Other than cycling, fishing is the 2nd most entertaining activity.

Daddy says that was a fish swimming pose.

Scorching hot!

Went cycling after a short break. The bicycle we rented from the resort is terrible!! Gear-less!

Almost typed Wild Pig out of excitement. WILD BOAR! This wild boar looked like he's gonna charge anytime. And then awhile later, cute little wild boars start coming out from the bush! mad cute!

Mosquito bites on my leg.

Supposed to visit elsewhere with parents after resting at this place. But their key for their two-rider-bicycle broke inside the lock! What a lousy bicycle right! No choice but to take their taxi back to our resort, and know what, the taxi driver charged my parents SGD15!!! And some more, he doesn't allow us to board the van-taxi. No choice, we cycle back to the jetty for dinner, where we will meet our parents.

This is the map of Pulau Ubin! As you can see, there's so many quarry (blue color) there!! The water is so clear and blue. Remember going in the quarry during OBS, and i'm so afraid that i might pollute the water cause i'm having menses. Lucky it din flow out due to pressure.

Beautiful quarry!

"The abandoned quarries at Ubin are now filling up with rainwater and the natural vegetation is recovering around their edges. Fish have somehow appeared in some of them, attracting birds such as herons. Although the quarries are now quite scenic, they remain dangerous places. Swimming and other activities near them should be avoided."

Verdict: I STRONGLY discourage people to stay at Celestial Resort because the facilities sux, the bicycle sux and they charge so ex lah! I was looking forward to kayaking, after browsing the types of activities i can do there from Celestial web page.  It look like this:

So when we reached there, it's not like what it supposed to be. The image below was taken by me. THIS IS WHERE YOU WILL KAYAK! F small area only, enclosed area. FYI, this is where you will do your fish feeding, snorkeling, beach volley, BBQ.... basically any activities that is stated in their web.

Very disappointing stay, but i'm thankful for the food and all the fun with my family. It's really nice to cycle there with your friends or family during weekend and come back on the same day. Don't mind going Pulau Ubin again, but NO MORE CELESTIAL RESORT!
