Gardens By the Bay

Posted by Peien at 10:30 AM
Have you heard of Gardens by the Bay? It's located at the exact location of the used-to-be-popular-ex-steamboat place. Imagine the whole place has been transformed into a garden city. I wow-ed. You may choose to alight at Marina Bay station or Bayfront MRT station, both exits will bring you there.

I was there. Alot of times to be exact. My ex-company did that Garden! I even BBQ there before it opens to the public *haolian.jpg* HAHA! Let the tour begin.

 Bridge to GBB.

 The Super Tree.
The first station was the Flower Dome. It is a fully-airconditioned enclosed area where there are all sorts of flowers inside. You have to pay for the 2 dome. Quite cold inside too, so if you are afraid of cold, please bring along a cardigan or jacket to keep you warm :)

 Favourite, Daisy.

 Cute.

Interesting Catus. Basically, this family of catus were all like this. :/

That's pretty much sums up the Flower Dome. You will be expecting Bottle trees and some other unique plants there, cause it's my second time to the Flower Dome, i din actually take much picture. If you are a fan of flowers, then you should go see it yourself :D

Next is the Cloud dome. I feels like i'm in Genting Highland. It's so cloudy, and much much colder than the flower dome. You may get a bit wet due to the water fall.  It's an amazing sight. It's also being named as the Avatar themed garden.

The walk path is pretty scary actually. The side of the walkway is actually some metal criss crossed each other, which means you can see through it and see what's underneath. I saw Kad walking on it like nothing, and i throwed a very stupid question to him. "Wah, you not scared meh? I find it scary leg." He replied "Wah lao, i everyday sit helicopter one leh. This is nothing." Yup, after awhile, it's really nothing.

Super tree is being marked as the last stop of the whole garden tour because the night view there is spectacular. We were there when the sun was about to set, so we decided to have our dinner first instead. The food there is e.x.p.e.n.s.i.v.e. So in the end, we settled our dinner at Texas chicken. Should be the cheapest food there bah?? Hee.

Super tree in the late afternoon.

 Super tree at night.

I paid $7 to go up this Super Tree. Need to queue some more. It's damn lame up there, nothing to see. Either flyer or MBS. So my advise is to not waste money and go up. You can finish the whole tour up there within a minute or two. Not worth.

You may wish to laze around Super Tree at night as the lights will dance around them. It's beautiful.

As you can see, i'm wearing flats. But my leg were so sore and tired from the walking. I have to sit and rest so often that i din manage to complete the whole garden actually. :( Please wear your most comfortable pair of shoe, if not you'll regret. If i'm not wrong, the garden actually opens till late night (like 2am or 4am?), but if you are interested in the dome, then be there early cause it closes much much earlier than the other attractions (7pm or 9pm?) hmm..

Maybe you would like to pack your own lunch there to save cost. It's quite romantic to picnic there actually. Alright, that's all for now.

p/s would like to visit IndoChine the next time! :)
